Nanjing International Exhibition Center (hereinafter referred to as the National Exhibition Center), completed and put into operation in 2000, is affiliated to Nanjing Tourism Group, a large-scale tourism industry investment platform of the Nanjing Municipal Government. The venue is located on the east bank of Xuanwu Lake, a national 5A-level scenic spot, and at the west foot of Zijin Mountain.

The National Exhibition Center has successively won the titles of Civilized Unit of Jiangsu Province, Civilized Unit of Nanjing City, Top Ten Exhibition Venues of Jiangsu Province, and Satisfied Venue of National Convention and Exhibition Organizer. In May 2020, the National Exhibition Center officially passed the UFI (Global Exhibition Industry Association) member unit certification, marking that the software, hardware and service experience of the exhibition hall are moving towards internationalization. In December 2020, the annual industry event "China Convention and Exhibition Brand Development Conference" hosted by the National Convention and Exhibition Working Committee and the China Convention and Exhibition Industry Expert Committee was released: the National Exhibition Center won the title of "2019-2020 China Convention and Exhibition Brand Venue". The 2021 China Convention and Exhibition Economic Research Association Annual Conference and China Convention and Exhibition Economic Forum officially released the "2020 China Exhibition and Conference Statistics". It shows that among the 298 venues in use nationwide, the utilization rate of the National Exhibition Center's venues ranks among the top three in the country, only second In Shenzhen and Shanghai, it has risen seven places from the national rankings in 2019.

The exhibition hall of the National Exhibition Center has a construction area of 120,000 square meters and an indoor exhibition area of 35,000 square meters. It has 5 exhibition halls and can accommodate 2,000 international standard booths. There are also two outdoor exhibition halls on the east and south sides of the main building, with an outdoor exhibition area of 30,000 square meters. The National Exhibition Center has the function of large-scale conferences. On the third floor, there is a column-free multi-function hall with an area of nearly 3,000 square meters. For cocktail parties, cold dinner parties, large-scale evening parties, various celebrations, and large-scale wedding banquets, the hall is equipped with a large LED screen, which can be divided into three independent areas according to needs. There is also a 1,400-square-meter viewing hall on the third floor, which can host various catering and display events. There are 9 small and medium-sized conference rooms on the conference floor of the exhibition hall, which can hold various types of conference activities for 20-300 people.

As an important platform for Nanjing's exhibition economy, Nanjing International Exhibition Center has successfully held many international and domestic large-scale professional exhibitions and conferences since its operation in 2000, including the 6th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Conference, China Medical Equipment Fair, China Tourism Fair, China Knitted Cotton Fair, the 2nd Summer Youth Olympic Games Equestrian Jumping Race, China International Graphene Innovation Conference, China Hospital Information Expo, National Public Welfare Industry and Health Festival, International RV Camping Exhibition, etc.; held many large-scale regional exhibitions conferences, including the Yangtze River Delta HD Audio-Visual Expo, Zijin Competition Works Exhibition, Nanjing Convergence Fair, China (Nanjing) International Food and Drinks Fair, China Nanjing Cultural and Creative Industry Fair, Asian Outdoor Products Exhibition, Jiangsu International Catering Expo, the 7th National Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information Technology Equipment Exhibition and National Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information Expo, China International Circular Economy Exhibition, China (Nanjing) Beidou Satellite Navigation Application Expo and Beidou Summit Forum, etc.
